We hope you enjoy coming to events as much as we enjoy being able to host or lead them. If you have an idea for an event you can let us know.
We run a lot of different classifications of events. Many are free-form and can hold the weight of much of our group, others can be very small and can hold only a few of us.
General Event Policy
Our events are many times first come first serve, but that is not a hard/fast rule. The leader/facilitator of the event has the control to run the event as they see fit. While we try to be verbose in talking through how an event is run, who is there to run it, expectations, and needs, sometimes we fall short and for that we apologize. The leadership does not support favoritism or internal politics for events, if you feel this occurring please bring it up to one of the other leaders for investigation.
Large Events
Large events are by nature not going to be very intimate. We've found that many large events have many smaller groups quickly form within them. It's good to come to a large event and not feel intimidated as we are all very friendly and usually can help link people together to learn from each other. At a large event feel free to talk to any leader or facilitator for assistance.
As well if you are someone who knows how to engage and help others, please keep an eye out for fellow groupmates that might need your help. It's been said many times our group is about paying it forward, that means helping others when you can as you were probably helped to this point by others. We stand on the shoulders of our peers and we like to continue that mentality in our sessions.
Small Events
Small events are wonderful in that they bring together an intimacy we usually cannot get with large attendance but the bane of them is that they can only fit a few of us which means there is the potential of people being excluded.
Many times our small events are repeated if possible to allow others learn and enjoy too. For that reason we ask that if you have been able to attend a small event that you kindly allow others to participate in a subsequent round. Please keep communication open and if you had an amazing time at an event and really want to participate again, tell that to the coordinator and they'll try and work you back in at a later time.
Pro Member Events
For those who have donated to us on a yearly commitment we will at times host a Pro Member only event to show our appreciation.
Events are a great thing and again we are happy to share our time, expertise, and access when able. We also encourage others to suggest something for us to do, run out and have a random shoot, or work towards facilitating your own.
