I will usually arrive early, get some pics of the participants as they are setting up, dressing, rehearsing. Then take a look at the light, and choose which side of the street you like best, keeping in mind that up and down tryon there are shadowy areas, then there are well lit ones. Watch your highlights. The festival area is pretty much a matter of observation.

The St. Pats parade is fun, as the event photographer just be certain not to go into the street, and sale of images for the event are prohibited. Otherwise, look forward to seeing anyone down there, it is a lot of fun.

Hi Leigh, I won't be able to get there for this one. I have a biomedical meeting Sun.-Tuesday...would rather be at the Raptor Center. I'll get to other outings as they come up.
