  •  Andy I found your comment "Remember to learn anything to a professional level takes around 40,000 hours" to be quite interesting. When I first studied Photoshop back in 1995 (West Los Angeles College) the instructor said that it would take about 100 "hands-on" hours to learn all the commands, another 1,000 hours to be comfortable with the program and another 2,000 hours to become extremely skilled. I believe it takes about 3,000 hands-on hours to become quite facile with any skill.

As for the Saturday event, I've never been to this before...but would be open to hosting it. Call you call me to discuss expectations etc? Thanks, Leigh

  •  Hey Andy, I’m a new member and was at the last meeting and plan on going to the next meeting, and I was wanting to know where I need to go to post a WOW photo. If you can point me in that direction it would be helpful. Thanks for the help.

  •  Thanks for the welcome. I am really excited about this group. I have been looking for a group in Charlotte. I attended and Charlotte Camera Club meeting and was considering joining the Light Factory, but wasn't sure if that is what I was looking for. This group's calendar of events looks awesome. I was wanting to sign up for the indoor football shoot in a week or two, but I won't have a long lens. I am selling a 70-300 and wanting to buy a 70 - 200 2.8 Sigma. Thanks again.

  •  Yeah, you won't believe it but my dog ran into me! I feel pretty silly telling everyone that and follow it up with the explanation that you just have to picture a crazy 50 lb. dalmatian running like a racehorse at top speed toward you and body slamming you like a football player! All in good fun, right?!!! Hopefully, I'll be able to make it to the next meeting...walking!
