Meeting Location Change!! : Our meeting space has changed. We are no longer able to meet at the Well's location. This month thanks to BJ Vance we will be meeting at St. Johns UMC off Monroe Rd. ( http://tr.im/cpmgnew... : Google Map )

Meetups:
This meeting is designed to help you get a feel for what we are doing around the area and where you might like to put your participation. We go over the groups last month, and the coming month's schedule, review the assignment (with very mild commentary), work towards having a few quick educational segments, and then we break up for people to meet with other like minded people. During that time you can seek out leaders, SIG (Special Interest Group) facilitators, other camera owners, and talk until you are ready to go, or we have to kick you out. biggrin

    Everyone is strongly encouraged to participate regardless of skill level. Newcomers and novices just jump right in and ask questions. It's a pretty light hearted group, but a tremendous opportunity to learn from some very skilled photographers.

    New members in the last 30 days are free to join us, dues supporting members are free, and those who are just joining us to continue the revelry is $5. Feel free to pay ahead or at the door.

    Please be aware of location change, check top of page, we will be at St. Johns UMC off Monroe Rd. We will be trialing this location and are still on the hunt for alternatives that we can afford. If you have suggestions please let us know.

    Please verify and validate your RSVP. If you cannot attend it helps us tremendously to know that. Our space requires setup and if you are not going to be there, or you are going to be there, it helps save us from additional chaos incurred.

      I am appreciative of the "homework" aspect that the group encourages. This should result in better participation. Here: "http://www.Worth1000.com"; is the largest photography and photoshop CONTEST site on the net. I believe all members of the Charlotte Photography Club should take a look, because the galleries are awesome!

      I'll be printing nametags and rendering the CPMG Flickr tag starting at 4pm. If you sign up to come after this it is not a problem, just sign in with June. If your picture is this late to entering our assignment.. common, enter earlier! :D
