What: Poker Tournament
When: Saturday, October 10th 1pm - finished (8pm or so)
Where: Ramada Inn on Woodlawn Road

Pub Poker is having their season 19 TOC (Tournament of Champions) and has opened it up to the Meetup group. 182 players have qualified for the tournament, so it will be a big game.

The tournament will take place in one of the larger banquet halls. We can use flash, but please be mindful of the players.

Saturday Schedule
1pm registration for TOC 18 begins
1:30 PM Season 18 Awards Ceremony begins
2:00 PM Tournament of Champions 18 begins

Since I will be playing I will not be taking pictures until I am out of the tournament. I will have on my orange lanyards and will be in the lobby before registration. If you come after the tournament the game is not hard to find, but you can ask anyone working there, or most of the people wandering around. I am verifying an announcement will be made to let the players know we will be walking around taking pictures.

Eric, got to meet one, two, three members, (photogs), and had fun shooting some "pokerfaces" and some show-offs and the fun, in general. I'm not smart enough for the game but I have this 22 yo who gets to 'Vegas for just one reason, whenever he can. I intro'd him to you. I'll send my photos to Debbie with copies to you if I can find your email. Thanks for the invite. BTW, I thought I would be arrested after stumbling into the poker down the hall! OMG!

  “ WELL! It wasn't our most exciting, imaginable assignment but it was, after a bit of study, some fun and challenges, for sure. Here was a bunch of every-day odd characters sharing their love of Poker in a poorly-lit room at a slighly-old hotel. They love it so much that they can do without even playing for money, apparently! There were some colorful characters there, some "physical extremes", some fine visuals, all-in-all. Not sure what we're to do with our photos but I made contact with their organizer, Debbie Newman, who gave me her email address where I could send her pics to use on their website, etc. Worked out fine, in the end!
