For our tenth installment of coffee and strobes we will be doing something different and special. This event will only be open to those of you who have already attended a coffee and strobes event. There are no exceptions to this. This is a thank you for everyone who has supported coffee and strobes as well as cpmg. The details will be a surprise. You will rsvp to a waiting list and then be moved over to the attending list manually. It will be one of our "field trip" events so we will be meeting at our usual location first and heading to the shooting location.
CPMG member George Holt has arranged for us to meet regularly at the Quail Corners location of the Dilworth Coffee House. We'll be getting together for some after hours strobist activities. This won't be a class per se, but will be a great opportunity to learn about small flash off camera lighting. We will be arriving a bit before the coffee house closes so everyone will be able to order some drinks. After the doors are locked we will have full run of the place to satisfy all our strobing and shooting desires. This is a regular event that we do twice a month.
For anyone who has no clue what is meant by the term strobist, head on over to www.strobist.com and check it out.
What to bring: your camera, your small lighting gear (studio lights aren't recommended), a humble attitude and thirst to learn hands on in a group environment.
This event is free to Pro Members and carries a cost of $3.00 for all other members. Please pay through amazon payments. We would rather not handle cash at the event and we will not have change. If you are a Pro Member please ignore the link that takes you to amazon payments. You should still be able to rsvp yes without paying. This way we don't have to go and refund you and worry about amazon service charges.
“ Scott and his crew went beyond the call of duty on this meet. It obviously required a lot of time and planning to set up the "grease monkey" theme at the auto repair shop with the two beautiful models! From the photos posted, I believe everyone was able to produce some great shots of both models. Thanks for all your hard work, it was worth it! ”
“ Awesome time! It was very well planned and gave everyone ample time to shoot. I learn more and more with every Strobes event. I can't wait for the next one. This one will be hard to top. ”
