We like supporting volunteer efforts when we hear about them, especially if our members are helping coordinate the affairs. Here's an upcoming couple days of shooting soccer that could help some kids out. Brought to our attention by Ray.

CPMG member Lisa Crates is this years official photographer for the annual Lake Norman Soccer Club Fall Classic Tournament, Nov 21-22. This is a volunteer effort where proceeds from photo sales go back to the club scholarship fund to help children who could not otherwise afford to participate.

Games start at 8am and last until late afternoon or early evening depending on location. There are several locations for the tournament, spread out from Mooresville to Statesville. Sunday finals games will end mid-afternoon with awards given out as winners for each age group are decided.

Photos of general play and close-up action shots of as many different players as possible are needed. On Sunday shots of teams and players getting awards after each finals game are high priority items.

We would like to have a minimum of two photographers at each location, and more is better. Photographers of all experience levels are welcome, any help is appreciated. It would really help coverage of this event if people can commit to at least a half day schedule, and a whole day would be great. Photos will need to be provided to us ASAP after the event on DVD, or you can be given access to the online location (SmugMug) and upload them directly (a BIG help to us!).
