Southside Meetups:
This meeting is designed to help you get a feel for what we are doing around the area and where you might like to put your participation. We go over the groups last month, and the coming month's schedule, review the assignment (with very mild commentary), work towards having a few quick educational segments, and then we break up for people to meet with other like minded people. During that time you can seek out leaders, SIG facilitators, other camera owners, and talk until you are ready to go, or we have to kick you out.

Everyone is strongly encouraged to participate regardless of skill level. Newcomers and novices just jump right in and ask questions. It's a pretty light hearted group, but a tremendous opportunity to learn from some very skilled photographers.
Pro Members have the opportunity to win a prize for the month, check the thread for details.
New members in the last 30d are free to join us, dues supporting members are free, and those who are just joining us to continue the revelry is $5. Feel free to pay ahead or at the door.

The Well's location near Archdale and Park is not hard to get to. If you have driving concerns post them.
Please verify and validate your RSVP. If you cannot attend it helps us tremendously to know that. Our space requires setup and if you are not going to be there, or you are going to be there, it helps save us from additional chaos incurred.

Pro Member“ Great meeting, well planned and organized by the leaders. June and Scott gave very informative presentations. I was familiar with most of the Flickr options June reviewed but did learn several time saving tips I will use in the future. In Scott's presentation on Noise Reduction, he reviewed several software products basically for the sole purpose of Noise Reduction, giving us a synopsis with pros and cons. The changes made in the before/after photos he used as examples could be applied to new digital or older scanned film photos where the quality needs to be improved. Both presented us with useful tips, ideas and suggestions to improve and enhance our photography or the tools to exhibit it more efficiently. ” -

June's presentation went a little long--given the comments from the group, there is expertise out there that could be shared and the organizers shouldn't have to carry the whole meeting (I would help but have no expertise in this arena:-). Move the screen and group farther into the shadows so the the screen images could be better seen. ” -
